This year, the Indians are one of the worst teams in baseball and Wedge didn't do anything in these 6 years. They better fire him by the end of this year, or 2009 will be the same. |

I'm sorry but the Cleveland fans know more about baseball than some guy from Chicago. Wedge doesn't know when to greenlight players to swing, he doesn't know when to bring people up, like the year Marte was killing the ball and then he waited until after Marte was in a slump to bring him up 2006 I believe it was. Some of our good players have only gotten a chance because of injuries, he leaves pitchers in too long, he finally started having people bunt to advance runners but even that is rare. I think Shapiro should go too I have always thought that they won in spite of those guys last year not because of them. Now Shapiro says he loves Jhonny Peralta, He is starting to hit but you know what he will do, 2 outs & a guy on first he most likely hits into a double play, player on first and 2nd with 2 outs most of the time he strikes out, now if there isn't anyone on then he might get a hit or hit a homerun.I agree Jhonny is much better over the last month but why can't Wedge & Shapiro see this trend in his hitting, or see that guys like Marte & Cabrera ar hitting under .200 so they unless they are great defensivly or there is no other options they should go to Buffalo. |
