He CANNOT beat Boston or NY, and the reality of American League baseball is that if you cant do that, you cant win.
He is clearly intimidated by those 2 teams in particular, although for some reason NOT by Detroit or Anaheim. Check Coach Wedge's record against NY and BOS and see what I mean. He's A F R A I D !!!!!!!! And he does an excellent job of communicating that fear to his players. 2-10 against BOS and NY this year- FANTASTIC! |
