What other manager would take a catcher who throws out no one and wait 2 years to entertain the idea of moving him to 1st base, a position that was obviously not providing the very kind of production Victor Martinez provides? What other manager would continue to put a below average (at best) defensive player at the most important defensive position on the field? The numerous errors Wedge has made have culminated with the Indians in a better position to be overtaken by the Kansas City Royals than to contend for a division title. This should be immediate grounds for dismissal, and the fact that this hasn't happened only proves that the Indians are the worst run franchise in professional sports. |
