Name: Anonymous on Oct 30, 2007Comments: I completely agree with the column above. Despite the recent success of the Hokie football team I feel it's unfair for the defense to continue to carry the offense. We need a new offensive coordinator because our offensive is down right offensive. Send Stinespring packing and wish him the best.Flag

Name: Jeff on Oct 31, 2007Comments: The level of talent on this team is too great to waste on this anemic and misguided offensive ideology. Furthermore the defense is just too damn good and deserves better. When the offensive staff underachieves the team underachieves. The players are not to blame for any of the offensive woes. I'm tired of seeing teams with less talent out scheme and out coach opponents.Flag

I also sat in the pouring rain the entire game, after having also driven in it for 4 hours- so I share your frustrations. The problem with our offense goes beyond Stinespring, fault also lies with FB and Billy Hite, both of whom wield considerable influence over how Tech's offense operates.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 31, 2007Comments: Something has to be done with the offense. The play calling is atrocious. Theres no reason for a top-notch program to perform (offensively) so bad year in a year out. The recruiting is equally horrible. Could we start recruiting some lineman, and maybe some players in some areas other than the 757! Turns out they play football in other areas of the country.Flag

Yost on Oct 31, 2007Comments: VT played a great game, outplayed Boston College, was a far better team than BC, yet it just seemed that during the last 2 minutes of the game the coaches decided that BC should be given the game. Why Our young men on that rain soaked night deserved better-they won in my heart, but got their hearts broked by someone or two calling the wrong plays!Flag
