Comments: Authority loses all authority when it encourages an atmosphere where officers such as Martin are treated as professionals in the first place. This officer has endangered the lives of all officers. The outrage Martin creates is a threat to law and order everywhere.

Comments: The trooper should be fired and prosecuted for assault. The other officers with him on the scene should also be disciplined. Their captain must also be held accountable for allowing this to drag out as long as it did--it is clear this thug cop has no business working for the state of Oklahoma.

Comments: I am a retired vet AND retired police officer. This officer needs some mental health and retraining or termination. There are plenty of GOOD people waiting and wanting to be police officers who would not act in such a disrespectfull way.

Comments: Daniel Martin is a disgrace to the uniform and an embarrassment to humanity. He misunderstands that he was entrusted to enforce the law, not contravene it for his personal use. I hope he feels his power trip was worth it.

Comments: This is a disgrace to any Police officer. No wonder the general public cant trust you, rely on you. This is nothing more that some highschool kid who got bullied all of his life, grew up, became a "Officer of the law" just to react his revenge on any of those who might disagree with him. For Christs sake, let the EMTs at least transport the patient and deal with this like rational adults. Who knows he might have calmed down by the time he got to the hospital (although highly doubtful)

Comments: Colonel Guillotte, I am writing as a former resident of the state of oklahoma, but an individual that still has the majority of my family residing in the state. I am shocked and appalled at the behavior of Patrolman Martin. His actions, clearly recorded, not only violate what he willfully wrote up as the truth, but his actions also put the life of someone else in risk (the patient in the ambulance). The first point breaks the trust that the public places in its police forces. This is a sacred bond that exists, and if police officers are falsifying their records to their own benefit, the public trust in all police officers is hurt. Secondly, there is no moral basis for pulling over an ambulance and behaving the way that he did. Oklahomans, and every american rather, should hold themselves to a higher level of respect for human life than that of a tyrant, which is exactly how Patrolman Martin behaved.
