Comments: I really feel its time for Mr.Sharer to go. I think that I have been betrayed as a shareholder. What is most upsetting is that Mr. Sharer owns no Amgen stock directly despite outrageous compensation> Time to go !

Comments: Kevin Sharer I a tremendously poor leader. He does not follow the same "Amgen Values" that employees are held to. Back in 2005 when the stocj hit $80 Sharer sold $250 million worth of stock. He announced in July that year end EPS would be higher than expected all the while knowing that he would be buying Abgenix and starting to build in Ireland at the end of 2005. He withheld the purchase and build info in July to inlate the stock price so that he could sell his stocks at a higher price!

Comments: I spent 13 years at Amgen and am watching everything many of us worked for go down the tubes under Kevin. His #1 responsibilty is to provide shareholder value....he has failed miserably since he took over for the honorable Gordon Binder.

Comments: It's about time he and his cronies leave Amgen. The guy has no class, and his lowly character is affecting the entire company. C'mon, while he was married he had a love affair with a married woman who was his own direct report. Had it been any where else, this guy would've been ejected. But sadly, the board of directors consists of all his friends. He takes financial bets by making risky decisions, buying back shares & hedging options, losing Amgen like $1B. To top it all of he made like, what, $100M last year For what result ever since he's been with Amgen Kevin, have some class, go away, and take your buddies with you!

Comments: I have watched Amgen under Gordon B and since it has been in kevin's hands... Kevin feels he is above the law. He has not provide any leadership but insuring his senior staff is made up of his friends..He as not provided any leadership...(Bush effect) He spent 250+ hours flying the company jets on personal business.. When he had an affair with one of his reports where he had her hired, then he even had sex with her in a conference room, then she left to seek othe opportunities.Even his wife stormed in to building looking for the mistress...Even after the mistress did not want anything to do with him shehad to file a Restraining order against him to get him to leave her alone! between his lack luster performance and falure to act as a decent role model Amgen is due for a change.. Before it is to late if it isn't already..

Comments: He talks about the Amgen values to the Amgen employees yet he choses to follow them himself. There is a wide gap between the "haves" (upper managment) and the "have nots" (the employees). All that Gorden Binder developed (by smart managment and GREAT employee relations), Kevin has destroyed. It is time to bring smart managment back and it is time to say good ridence to Sharer.

Comments: You have a valid point. But I don't think you understand the whole perpective. Firing the CEO is not going to solve this issue. Amgen is a fundamentaly strong company and they have been sutbborn for many years now. Yes, they are extremely reactive to the situation rather than pro-actively identifying the risks and preparing for it. I hope they would have learnt a valuable lesson before the next product launch in 2010.

Comments: Despite receiving lucrative salary, bonuses, stock options and other perks: the stock price during Keven Sharer's tenure is considerably below when he assumed his current positions. R&D progress has been practically fruitless and there has been a complete lack of vision in prepetuating this fine Company. Enough is enough.
