Over the years As the World Turns has been the driving force and example for all other soap operas. The main strength that made ATWT the super soap is the fact that the show always stayed true to its history. However, since Jean Passanante has taken over as head writer, all of our beloved characters have become strangers to the faithful fans of so many years! Jean has admitted she has never taken the time to learn the history of the show! By ignoring the past, Jean has no idea what ATWT should be now or ever! ATWT desperately needs someone who respects the show and most importantly the fans who have loved, lost, cried, laughed, screamed and dreamed with the residents of Oakdale, Illinois!
