Name: Scott West on Jan 31, 2007Comments: Jay Mariotti is a worthless moron. If the only reason he is employed is to get a rise out of the Chicago population, the Sun-Times should be ashamed of itself. I won't buy that paper because of him; it's no better than the tabloid "The Daily Star".Flag

Name: Maurice B Thomas on Jan 31, 2007Comments: His column today, February 1, 2007, The First Day of Black History Month, where based on the following quote: "I'm young, black, and have tattoos, so it's easy to stereotype me and put me in a category" Jay Mariotti concocts an entire column concluding that Tank Johnson is a racistm, is a BRAND NEW LOW for Mariotti. Fire him now, or regret it later.Flag

Name: D.Jones on Jan 31, 2007Comments: He should have been fired a long tiome ago. Marriotti and reporters like him causes athletes and high vis professionals to shrink away from the media spotlight for fear of undue and unjust criticism. This critique and diminishing hurts their image and ultimately their pocket books. It also hurts whatever arena the professional is part of because it lowers the quality of the product in the eyes of the public. Just criticism is fine ...no one is perfect, but Marriotti and area writers like him have probably hurt teams like the Bears and White Sox more in terms of marketing Dollars than people may realize.Flag

I am sure there are people out there who could do a better job reporting fairly on sports. My 13 year old could do better.Flag

You suck mariotti, you are the most subjective, close-minded, pessimistic dork i've ever seen. You write in chicago yet everyone here hates you and you give us a bad name nationally with your ridiculous comments on "Around the Horn." Go back to Detroit (sucks) or Pitt(stain)sburg where you belong/came from.Flag
