I have given this some thought, and confess that the public fail to consider options on a logical level as against emotional.
To raise the one million sterling that is required ;what would be the cost in pennies on the rate?
What is the acceptable level of risk in terms of human life and limb?
This is a choice that should be laid before the electorate, rather than continuing to shelter them from reality. It seems to me we are treated as immature and consequently have unreal expectations, and blame the authority responsible for our own un-preparedness to face reality. In the 2nd world war years, we could not afford this luxury and were a damn site more down to earth. Lets have the facts and the chance to make grown up choices. |
