After a day of steelhead fishing on the American River, Officer Eric Cheing attempted to cite me for not paying $5 at the Nimbus Dam fishing area. He also threatened me for leaving the park after sunset, which was simply not true. In fact, I was hurrying to leave the park during a beautiful sunset, that I had photographed. He harassed me, demanded my driver's license and documentation, then threatened to have my car towed so I would be trapped 400 miles from home. Due to a clerical error at the DMV, my license apparently appears expired. I was left on the street without my valuables, medication, and with no help.
Cheing then called another ranger, who had my $5 and proof that I had paid.
Officer Eric Cheing is an incompetent, egomaniac who is a frustrated "park ranger," who really wants to be a cop. He is a harassing, dangerous menace to the rest of us law-abiding citizens.
