Dear Director Joudrie and Halton District School Board Trustees, In the best interests of all of our children’s education, we strongly support the maintenance of Single Track French Immersion in Oakville. We strongly support Option A – Palermo opening as a second Single Track French Immersion Centre for Ward 4 in addition to the existing Single Track French Immersion Program at Ecole Forest Trail. We respectfully ask Trustees to listen to the consumers of the French Immersion program in Ward 4 and to cast their vote in favour of quality education. Please do not approve Option B which spreads French immersion students across 2 dual track schools and 1 single track school. Option B seriously dilutes the French Immersion Program and causes concerns with parents of English students in dual track schools regarding allocation of resources for the English Students.

Option B is just going to hurt everyone. Quality of education should be the priority here not just shuffling kids around.

My oldest went through forest trail and it was such a great experience. Dont ruin this for the younger ones coming up.

Please just pick option A. It makes way more sense and keeps the program strong for oakville families.

LISTEN TO THE PARENTS. We want Palermo to be the second centre. Stop watering down the program for no reason.

Keep the single track program! It works for our kids and the board needs to stop changing things that aren't broken.

Dual track never works as well as single. Keep them separate so the kids can actually learn in a proper environment.
