| 2558 | Les Smith | As a permanent resident, the change in policy infuriates me. This is a step backwards and as racist a policy as can be. |
| 2559 | Noel Hamilton | Thank you for doing this - its about time we stood up and said no to human rights abuse in Japan. |

Japan has no real enemies, what is the need of fingerprints then?
Is Japan thinking to creat enemies (like Al Qaeda) in the futrue, so they are preparing from now even before creat an enemy!!!!!! |

| 2572 | Reid S | This is absolute bullshit.... I'm not a crook! |
| 2573 | Vince | Why is Japanese still so desperate to be like the USA? |
| 2574 | David Ryan | I am a hard working, honest, decent volunteer in this fine country of Japan and I find these tactics an insult to the hard work done by foreigners in this country everywhere. |
| 2575 | Kevin Burns | I don`t see how fingerprinting me or other foreign residents will help catch terrorists. |
| 2576 | Eric Scott Majesky | If you are going to fingerprint foreigners, then I would expect you would fingerprint all people in Japan, of course this includes Japanese citizens. Singling out only one group is not fair, and gives a very insulting impression of how Japanese people and the government sees foreigners. In the west and elsewhere I assume, fingerprinting is a very very serious matter, and not to be taken lightly. It is none in criminal situations in almost all cases. When you ask foreigners to involuntaritly give a fingerprint upon entering Japan, it is like saying that you view all foreigners as potential threats to your country, and basically it feels like you are calling us criminals. We do take it very seriously, and find it quite insulting. If we commit a crime, then at that time you are more than in the right to fingerprint the criminal, but until a crime has occured, please dont insult us by forcing us to give you our fingerprints. Thank you for strongly considering this petetion. Sincerely, Eric Scott Majesky |

| 2588 | Anonymous | I think this is a stupid thing to control illegal immigration or to think it could stop terrorism. It just that Japan likes to follow the U.S.
The gvt should think that the only terrorists that can hurt Japan is their own people. (ex: Aum sect) |
