Comments: it is not the traffic wardens job to finance town councillors expenses. The death of the town front should be the burning issue.

Comments: Agree on all - especially litter and dog fouling - beautiful town but should be looked after more. Somebody should start putting pressure on local community and visitors not to litter Cobh, so if Traffic Warden is also Litter Warden he should really focus on that issue.

Comments: Parking is very difficult on a busy day such as Friday, market day. The town car park along the Five Foot Way is too far away from the shops for people, particularly the elderly and disabled, to be useful. The litter and chewing gum is appalling. I always apologise to visitors about it.

Comments: I totally agree with the above comments I dont put all the blame on the warden, the councellers must take some of the blame as well. Its they set the agenda.I think some of them have no interest in the town what so ever, only in their own political agenda. We are never going to progress unless they all pull togeather as a united group but thyat will never change.

Comments: I am a former stall holder from the farmers market in Cobh. I no sooner had my business built up, which is hard enough in todays climate, when i noticed a steady decline in buisness. My self along with other stalls all agreed that the majority of customers that they lost was due to lack of parking,

Comments: I totally agree with the above statements, My car was broken down outside St. Josephs primary school bishop street, there was no sign of the traffic warden and two days later a ticket and letter from cobh council which i was flabbergasted about, if he came up to me where i was with my car and never left it waiting for it to be towed to my house in college Manor, I then said i would fight it rigorously but to no avail I even wen to court and got a fine of 360.00, which in this current climate is pretty hard to come by. I think he should concentrate on the cars blocking the houses for residents and not cars parked outside schools or broken down, in my opinion he could at least have come up to me at the car and asked me i would have showed him what was wrong and maybe he would have found out the problem.

Comments: it sems that the traffic warden has his favorites at the schools, there allowed to park were they want while he chats through their car windows and others are hammered with tickets. That job should have been given to a local.

Comments: I can never understand why it is that the MAIN & CONTINUING issue that drags Cobh down is not its PARKING PROBLEMS, its the shoddy & un-kept appearance of which our Council seem never to want to make top priority. ONE member of staff working full time on painting, cleaning & litter prevention would solve the horrendous press, yet the OBVIOUS solution seems always to go unheard. So tell me Dear Council,- Is it too much to ask to have even ONE full time Town caretaker...or are the pen-pushers & parking wardens more important to you Please I urge you, we need to sort out our priorities..and not just jobs-for-the-boys. With Kind regards & serious concerns Stuart Owen

Comments: As an ex-pat and regular visitor to Cobh, I can confirm with my own eyes that despite recent years of prosperity almost everywhere else in the country, this once beautiful town has become more and more dilapidated. Stuart Owen’s comments knock the nail on the head, so my only question is: how and where have the Council re-invested the €247,000 collected in fine revenue – to employ a traffic warden, who causes so much ill-will that a web forum is necessary to draw attention to the problem
