Manchester City Council ought to celebrate the fact that it has a team in the most prestigious club competition in the world. To show the Champions League final on big screens just a week after the Rangers' fans despicable behaviour would offer a perfect riposte to media criticism when, as I am sure we would all ensure, the game is enjoyed in the celebratory and jovial mood it deserves.
