The news is out and they have officially committed to a turn-based system for the project. My hands are shaking as I type this because I truly wasn't sure if we could change their minds. We got the result we fought for so let us enjoy this win while we …
Now that you have finally announced a Final Fantasy VII remake, the vast majority of fans will agree that the game needs to remain turn based. We urge you not to make Final Fantasy VII an ARPG, and keep what made Final Fantasy VII one of the greatest games of all time in the game. Don't mess with success. Keep Final Fantasy VII turn based.
We just hit 250 signatures and it is clear that many of us feel the same exhaustion watching our favorite mechanics get discarded. This is draining work but I am not going to stop pushing for the game we actually want.

TB for the win. Problem is we got to many bad and low budget TB games. Millions seek that AAA TB game. A remake doesn't mean change everything. They can improve the current ATB, I'm even open for making it a bit more strategic or minor changes.

Final fantasy vii is the game that got me into gaming. Taking away turn based battles will ruin it for me and I probably won't buy it based on that reason. I haven't bought any final fantasy game after ffv for that very reason.

The turn based fighting style allows people from any gaming background to enjoy this magnificent title. Don't make the same mistake Golden eye did and change to much about the game or at the very least have two game modes.

Don't spoil this epic masterpiece, turn base combat is the way forward not back.
For e.g. Lost Odyssey was turn base combat and it's probably one of the best RPG since the old Final Fantasy games.
Listen to you're fans. There is no fun in hacking and slashing.

Keep the battle system atb please! We want a FF7 remake, not FF15 with a FF7 skin! Use Bravely Default's system or touch up the original, just don't make me look at Cloud the whole game! Please! I want to control the whole party.

Signed. The majority of SE's games are Action Oriented. It is time for a good old turn based game from them on PS4. You claim that you're providing diverse experiences, then prove it, and retain this games original combat system.

I’ve been waiting for this for over a decade. Unfortunately, I now have a joint disease and can’t play action/RT games, my hands lock up. Even if this didn’t ruin FF7 for me (and it does, I can’t stand AIs, if I wanted an AI to play for me then why am I holding a controller?) I couldn’t play it. At least one sale lost if the combat system isn’t turn based, probably more.
