My Dad Terry Lee McILvoy has been incarcerated for 32 years,for murder. What amount of time will have to pass before he can feel that due compensation has been made? He was a young illiterate, alcoholic the two can mean anything can happen to a person. My dad has to deal with this every waking moment.He understands and realizes that no amount of time can really compensate for the life of another.He has earned his GEDand several job certificates.The woman who recieved the same sentence as my dad on the same case was released Oct.15-2010. Shouldnt my dad get the same chance at a new life after being rehabilitated for 32 years. WORDS FROM MY DAD..........Members of society;Having the death of a man on my conscience is not an easy thing to bare nor will I ever really be able to make proper amends for the death. Would making me serve out this sentence;being dependent upon society for the rest of my life be amends to the victims family,my familyor in the eyes of the law?
