The Pit-bull, a dog commonly highlighted as a vicious dog, by Media, and folks just roaming the street. People cross the street when they are walking down the sidewalk, scared to pass, the all mighty Pit-bull. The reality, it is a German Sheppard, not a Pit-bull. Actually let’s set a few things straight. The term Pit-bull is referring to three common breeds in the Molesser family, The American Pit Bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, and the Staffordshire bull terrier. There is no one dog that is a Pit-bull. And in the United States alone, there are an estimated 74.8 million pitbulls calling this home. There known for locking jaws, but any dog can have his jaw lock close, How ever it is unusual, and not normal. The pit-bull breeds have no locking mechanism in there jaw, and there is no science behind the locking jaw theory. They scored with room too make mistakes at the American Temperament Test Society. In the United States, animal shelters estimate 1.7 Million dogs were euthanized in 2008, a little more than half, were pit-bull type dogs…. What we are saying, is these dogs are only misunderstood, mistreated, and abused by some, they are not mean, or killers.
