this is a petition to take to the government for them to change the way sex offenders are punished. at the moment there are no detention centres or prisons for young sex offenders. the law believe they can be rehabilitated, they are left free to walk our streets and prey on our young children. with only a few hours of intervention per week. this is no punishment for the pain and humiliation they cause innocent children.
i am trying to get the appropriate help put in to detention centres and prisons to get these sex offenders of our streets and locked up for the acts of wickedness they commit.
The stories shared by parents in the comments highlight exactly why we need secure facilities for these offenders instead of minimal intervention. Keep texting this link to three friends and call your local representatives to demand that they stop ignoring the safety of our children.

The momentum behind this push to keep our streets safe is proof that people are ready for real reform. Post this link on your Facebook page right now and text three friends to bring them into this fight. Keep the pressure on by emailing your local representative today to demand that these offenders face actual detention.

Unbelievable that this is even a debate. If you hurt a child you should go to prison period.

Finally someone said it. My daughter is terrified to play outside because of someone who did this and just got a slap on the wrist. Keep them off the streets.
