Name: Danielle Moze on Apr 18, 2012Comments: I was hoping this law wouldn't be breed specific, I really don't want to see the phasing out of certain breeds in T&T, and in the same breath, I hope the people enforcing this law are professionals in dealing with animals... My question is what happens to all those dogs belonging to a "dangerous" breed if their owners can't afford the insurance on them...they just get dumped? And who decides that the dog is dangerous...someone qualified I hope? All I can see coming of this is a black market demand for these animals...as has happened in virtually all countries where breed specific legislation has been attempted and discarded because of its failure to both protect the public and protect the animal.Flag

Let us stop animal cruelty as well as in justice towards our rights as human beings and Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Far as my point of view if this is not stopped, there will definitely be an increase in crime in our country. Is this what we want for our beloved nation. Why don't the Government think for the betterment of the people and not themselves.Flag

Name: GARY PRESCOTT on Apr 18, 2012Comments: I have been breeding dogs for over 12 years now. I am the owner of 2 Bullies, 1 Rott and 1 Pot hound, I can testify that as far as dangerous dogs go....... My Rott and Pot hound is far far more dangerous than my two loving Bullies... Am totally against irresponsible dog owners and yes I support laws that convict owners who's dogs kill innocent ppl, but this Peter pay for Paul Bill is unfair to bully owners and the breed itself. I love my Bully dogs and they are definitely not dangerousFlag
