Name: Andrea Schoeller on Apr 17, 2012Comments: Breed specific legislation is ridiculously over-inclusive. Banning all dogs of a breed when only certain individuals within the breed have proven to be vicious is unjust. Many other breeds have injured people and the act fails to include those other types. It's sad that such loving dogs have been isolated and branded so negatively, simply to present a false sense of security. I hope changes can me made that are more reasonable, such as insurance per owner (not per dog) etc. and not the blatant eradication of the breed. Please read this article which presents facts and alternative solutions to breed bans: http://stubbydog.org/2011/03/the-psychology-of-breed-bans/Flag

Name: Gabrielle Walcott on Apr 17, 2012Comments: I support a more fair and revised legislation that does not discriminate against all dogs of a certain breed rather insists upon responsible dog ownership for all dog owners including obedience training, proper frencing and will hold owners not dogs responsible for protecting the lives of those in their neighborhood.Flag

Name: Gerard Walker on Apr 17, 2012Comments: So certain dogs kill and hurt people so the apparent solution is to make these certain dogs illegal. Well certain products such as tobacco and alcohol kill thousands and thousands of people a year. People get in to car accidents and get injured or killed. People get electrocuted from improper use of electrical equipment. So according to logic of the dangerous dog act we should then make tobacco, alcohol, all vehicles and electricity illegal becasue they all kill and hurt people in far greater numbers than dogs. This logic is ridiculously stupid.Flag
