    Comments: Willie McGee was a great part of the Cardinals history that should not ever be forgotten. He was a huge reason why we went to the world series and won. I would love to see his number be retired here in St. Louis he deserves that. As a big cardinal fan we the fans want is to see his number retired here were it belongs. We are the best fans in baseball give us what we want and love and that is Willie McGee number here at home were it belongs.

    Comments: This man deserves to have his number retired by the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He was a catalyst who silently led his team through 1 World Championship and 2 other NL pennants. Batting crown, MVP- accolades aside, this man was a true team player, he was one of the few players who played for the love of the game, not for the salary. A humble hero and true Cardinal. Let's put #51 up on the flagpole and honor Willie's dedication and accomplishments.

    Comments: I agree 100%. I would love to see #51 retired by the Cardinals. I am a diehard Cardinals fan because of Willie McGee. I saw him play in early 1982 for the Louisville Redbirds in Indianapois. He was so amazing, he is my all-time favorite player. Thank you. Go Cardinals!!!
