To whom it may concern, I would like to make it known that I feel disheartened with FIFA in the run-up to its spearhead Cup competition. This is a result of the manner in which Ireland have been denied Qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. This begins with the seeding of the playoff games which to me, an Irish fan, appears as if FIFA are trying to protect its own & larger nations interests by ensuring easier qualifying routes to the finals. As a result, having watched the France V Ireland game and controversial goal aided by an illegal hand ball, I have seen no mention of this incident on the FIFA match reports on your website. I am very disappointed with this outcome despite finding your mission statement on the website which proclaims that you are "protecting standards", "safeguarding the Laws of the Game", and convey "the very essence of fair play and solidarity" The final kick in the teeth for me which is your.... "Integrity. We believe that, just as the game itself, FIFA must be a model of fair play, tolerance, sportsmanship and transparency." During this campaign I did not see the fair play in seeding draws, but also the lack transparency in not publishing the circumstances that surround the winning "goal". I am shocked, disheartened and appalled, and would hope that you as the Global Governing Body, the authority for this sport, will learn a lesson and act with more integrity in future.
