Having been the proud winner of the Queen's Award for Export Achievement, we know just how important it is to promote the UK export business. The FFB is one of the few organiation that unites exporting companies, regardless of size or commodity and if anything should be encouraged to further promote British Business.Flag

The local FFB teams, much more so than the London office, with all the local knowledge & expertise, represent the unique value of the FFB organisation and deserve to be supported & funded within this current FFB restructuring period to enable a smooth transition and to help maintain several british food exporters current development plans successfully progressing...Flag

Name: Ian Ladd on Jul 1, 2008Position: National Sales ManagerCompany: A E Rodda and SonComments: FFB have done a fantastic job over the years and I find it hard to believe that the Government says that it has no money to help with Exports, the life blood of our economy. The International offices are on the ground with a good local knowledge with superb contacts. This must be aloud to continue.Flag

Name: Paul Needham on Jul 1, 2008Position: Managing DirectorCompany: Lancashire Tea CompanyComments: The FFB have instrumental in giving us contacts and arranging support during my meetings abroard. I find it hard to believe that Defra have stopped this support. Without the FFB we would not have the orders we are gaining from Spain and Italy. This is a active group of people who deserve all the support and funding, hopefully Defra will reconsider, as this will help us as a young company gain other markets.Flag

Name: Jelmer Hania on Jul 1, 2008Position: Export Development ExecutiveCompany: LMCComments: FFB Spain has just organised a trade mission for the Northern Ireland industry. In the last month, Northern Ireland meat companies visited Spain and learned about the Spanish meat market. Last week, 10 Spanish companies visited Northern Ireland and saw all the important aspect of the Northern Ireland meat industry and met with the Northern Ireland meat companies. Based on past experience, this mission will result in significant sales for the Northern Ireland meat industry. FFB Spain organised this trade mission, priced competitively, but more important, delivered an excellent service. The Northern Ireland meat industry benefits greatly from services like this organised by FFB and I am therefore very willing to sign this petition. Best regards, JelmerFlag

Name: John V. Catherall on Jul 1, 2008Position: Export Sales ManagerCompany: Faroe Seafood (UK) LtdComments: This latest plan to restrict exports is yet another example of the backward thinking of this present labour government. I have worked with FFB for about 15-years who have in turn helped me export to more than 18 different countries, I am working with them at present. I fully understand about costs, as does every person living in the UK does at present, but do not and will not accept fund withdrawal fromm this important service sector. Contact me if you wish but it will take a very forceful and convincing argument to make me accept this unacceptable suggestion to withdraw support.Flag
