Comments: A very handy option to have the Mallaig ferry back on. I travel between Barra and Inverness and have in the past used this route the 4 times a year I generally make the return journey.

Comments: I will be moving to South Uist next year and would feel a lot more comfortable with a shorter ferry crossing to the mainland such as the suggested Lochboisdale to Mallaig, rather than the existing 7 hour sailing to Oban, which I would never use!

Comments: Working in the fish farming industry and having a lot of business in Fort William this ferry sailing would be very beneficial. Keep the pressure on and we might get somewhere with this.

Comments: I live within a 10 minute walk from Lochboisdale pier and yet bypass the current Lochboisdale ferry route as a seven hour / five hour journey with a young family is not at all convenient. A Lochboisdale-Mallaig route would be more practical and user-friendly for all concerned.

Comments: It makes total sense to have this sailing. It will be a shorter travelling time: shorter ferry journey than Locboisdale /Oban; Less driving than all the way through Skye and beyond, as with the Lochmaddy/ Uig sailing. Further more, if we want to leave the car at home for environmental and every other reason, linking into Mallaig means we can connect with the train and Sleeper service. It would be the single most important change to travel in these islands for a very long time aided by the road improvements on the malliag/Fort William route. I sincerely hope you succeed.

Comments: In the current climate of high fuel prices and the emphasis on green matters that a shorter ferry route to the Uists is not being considered is a scandal
