Create USA Hockey Female Hockey Council

The petition

USA Hockey is proposing to elevate the Female Hockey members in the creation of a USA Hockey Female Council. The Female Hockey Council would serve the interests of all female players in USA Hockey. This type of status would give a voting voice to the 60,000 Female Hockey players within USA Hockey.
A competitive proposed vote would move the 13,000 women hockey players into the Adult Council which currently represents the 95,000 men. Moving the Women in with the Men potentially eliminates the District Championships and changes the National Championship from a qualification event to an open event where any team can attend. An open tournament would not require district winners and therefore would lose the prestige of competing with winners from each district for the National Championship.

By signing this petition I am indicating that I support the proposed creation of a Female Council for USA Hockey. Furthermore I do not support to have the Women of USA Hockey moved to the Adult Council.
