is discrimination to the max. When someone has a felony record, they are isolated from jobs, flagged from job interviews, hires, etc. If it isn't asked on the job application, it is still searched and flagged. When a judge passes sentence, that should be satisfied, and people should be able to have a chance. This is not the united states, because there is nothing united about it. Different states pass different sentences, stars walk free, and ironically, stars can go back to their jobs. How can you get back on track if you're a felon. Insurance, banking, security, and several other jobs will not hire. My son was given a five yr probation, lost his job, has 4children, a wife, a sick father, to care for. Every time he applies for something, that word felony brings him into a "my life is over depression mode....something has to be done. Sentence should be passed by a court of law, not a corporation, and employers. He had 3lbs of pot, and a wonderful job. He told the truth and now he is in a severe rut. When celeberties are on drugs.....why not follow, or watch them......it would lead to a dealer.....possibly a big account, and their lives are not affected. The governor's pardon for over 200 felons.....track it and see what the outcome brings. When I asked about a pardon in the future, I was told that it is not up to the governor in PA, but the "board of pardons". HELP we need it.
