The University of Malakand is located in Malakand Division in North-Western Pakistan which was subjected to the terror of Taliban. The students of Malakand University were the worst effected due to the Talibanization especially the female students as they were forced and restricted to wear burqa. The students of Malakand Division had to migrate to safers areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province such as Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi and Peshawar in order to escape the military operation of Pakistan army against the Taliban. The government of Pakistan had announced refunding of fees to the students of Malakand Division through out Pakistan and it was followed in all the universities of Pakistan where the students were refunded their fees or were allowed free education but in the University of Malakand itself the fees has not been refunded yet even after more than 1 year has passed of the military operation and the money promised by the university has been subject to corruption.
