Many of the students and Floyd Dryden Middle School in Juneau, Alaska are very distressed at the decision to cancel the Track and Field season this year because of the unseasonably cold and snowy weather. We do not think that the season should be canceled. Some of the students have been looking forward to the season for the entire year, and we feel that the season should go ahead, despite unfavorable weather conditions. Last year we ran indoors, and we ran in the snow, and we can do it again. There are many people who would be out on the track despite the weather conditions if the season were allowed to go ahead. The purpose of this petition is to call attention to the fact that the students of Floyd Dryden want their Track and Field Season! Spread the Word!!!
