| 854 | Gerald L. Knox | Our citizens deserve to be able to hold any manufacturer accountable. For drug manufacturers it should be even more important. We also need an FDA that belongs to the people, not the drug companies, which have bought the FDA using the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA). The legislators who passed that bill should be ashamed. |
| 855 | Susan Cox | thanks for this petition, someone has to do something |
| 856 | Margarita Terrell | I am against FDA preemption since there is an unacceptable conflict of interest by allowing pharmaceutical companies to voluntarily provide the required information for drug approval and updates. |

| 860 | Jacqueline Berghorn | CYMBALTA THE DRUG FROM HELL.
Not enough space to write in the severe side effects on and off this drug. I had written to you before and have not had any feedback. I would be willing to bring the FDA up todate and if you google"side effects on cymbalta" thousands of patients that are suffering, a nation wide petition is also on the web.
Suffering in New Hampshire. |

| 868 | Kathleen Knapp | Why should my tax money, contributing to Medicare, or any private insurer have to pay for the Sprint-Fidelis cable extractions, when the company barely contributes anything? |
| 869 | Nancy Luckhurst | Flouroquinolones are poison they killed my mother and caused me great damage. I still have not fully recovered 5 1/2 months after the one IV push dose of Levaquin |

| 871 | Pamela L | My son has lifelong effects from a prescribed head lice medication that is approved by the FDA. Its time the FDA does its job in protecting citizens, especially our children and grandchildren.
As the FDA is not doing its job, they must be held accountable for adverse events and deaths that have and will occur. |

| 876 | Carla Sacksteder | Our elected officials need to protect our rights as citizens. When an industry has the right to hurt citizens and there is no right for the citizens to utilize the system that has been guaranteed to us under the United States Constitution because certain elected individuals are protecting the pharmaceutical industry, then those individuals need to either rethink who they are representing or they need to be removed from office. The United States Constitution begins “We the people of the United States,” and The Constitution of the State of Michigan also begins, “We, the people of the State of Michigan,” this common factor of the people is something that the legislators seem to have forgotten. The people are the ones who elected the legislators who are blocking legislation that is in the best interest of the people. It is time that these same legislators start looking for those people who elected them before they are removed from office through a vote of those people. |

| 881 | Ethyl Rivera | Thousands of people are being denied a day in court after being harmed by dangerous drugs and medical devices. The Suprime Court has recently made it clear that Federal preemption on the basis of FDA approval to market was not intended to limit tort action in states. A clear restatement of Federal law on this issue is needed.and has been long overdue. |

| 886 | anonymous | It is time to protect the public from medical device makers who are shielded from liability when their products harm or kill. Please contact your U.S. Representatives and Senators and let them know you support House and Senate Bills that will amend this judicial travesty. See: H.R. 1346: Medical Device Safety Act of 2009 (GovTrack.us) http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-1346; and S. 540:

| 890 | Deborah Wesson | Due to this not being in place, Eli Lily made Cymbalta, did a study where a woman in the study hung herself, and a few others commited sucuide as well, and several left the study. None of this was ever reported to the FDA, the drug was passes, and now so many hundrends of thousands have lost their lives, and are also having to go throught withdrawls compared to that of any heavy over usage of narcotics, street or pharmicutical.
These are worse, and nothing can be given like there can for the other drugs who have withdrawl protocol.
None of us even know how we will end up once the 6 mo. -2 years of withdrawing it is taking the majority of us, and then still to have some withdrawls, or dise efffects remaid even after that.
