751 AnonymousAs is no doubt clear, the appearance of a McCain - Palin ad on this petition is the result of that campaign putting it there. As an organization, ADDA supports neither candidate. But we cannot prevent petitions.com from selling their space to whomever, whether they are selling pencils or presidents.
752 anonymousAlthough, speaking as an individual., I find it both an honor that a campaign would bother to promote its candidates here, and kinda pitiful.

759 Marlys GalloI want to protect my legal right to go to court when I have been harmed. Preemption would defeat that right.

761 AnonymousThis is an immoral, unconstitutional disgrace. Do we need a revolution or what? DO NO HARM! DO NO HARM! DO NO HARM!

764 Stephanie OcambI cannot believe we are having to go this far to protect OUR right to health, The FDA is not looking out for us in trying to do this, but looking out for their own pockets!

771 Pam PierceI am convinced that the Medtronic ICD with the recalled Sprint Fidelis lead killed my father on Labor Day of 2008. He received the implant in June 2007 and experienced daily, multiple and painful shocks. I was with him when he died on Labor Day and it was a horrific signt to watch him literally look as though he was being fried by this device.
772 Cindy HarrisMy father, Sydney A. Gilliland, died from the defective Medtronics ICD device with Sprint Fidelis leads.
773 AnonymousPlease think of the american people who are suffering from produces which harmed them or taken their life. I am losing my wife because of a product . Seven grand children is losing their grand mother and 2 daughters is losing their mother. How do we get our life back?

782 larry williamspre-emption is so bad. everyone should have a right for their day in court when they have been harmed by a drug or device.
783 John FrattiI have brain damage and damage to my tendons. I have been disabled for over 3 years. I was a haealthy 40 year old guy with a masters degree. Visit: www.Levaquinadversesideeffect.com
784 Deborah CoxThe drug Chantix has ruined my life and many others. Even though Pfizer will probably never be held accountable, they should be and I do not want this right taken away.

786 Patti LochnerThis FDA Preemption is absolutely and insane law. How many times must we, as citizens, be stripped of our patient rights? It is time to stop playing into the hands of the government.
787 AnonymousI lost my only and precious son Rob to Zyprexa. There was no warning on the label or from the FDA. Lilly hid the lethal side effects for money. There has been no criminal charge against them so far. We were put in a mass tort claim and received a paltry sum, as did 30,000 others maimed or killed by this drug. Please, if the Supreme Court approves pre emption, fight the phrma lobby and get this right back for individuals. For Bush has stripped the FDA of any meaning.

793 AnonymousThis is preposterous! The woefully inadequate process that leads to FDA approval for any given drug is hardly enough to protect the public. Ask anyone impacted by drugs like Vioxx or Baycol, both of which were given FDA approval only to be pulled off the market after people died. Thinking that the FDA is sufficient to balance the interests of the public against those of big pharmaceutical companies is laughable. If preemption becomes the law of the land, I for one will be embarrassed to call myself an American.
794 Karen Kalweit
795 Michelle ZellersMy grandmother, Margaret M. Key, had multiple heart attacks and died within weeks of being given Vioxx samples by her doctor. We live in Michigan, and whether or not my family could prove a connection to her death, we quickly discovered that any attempts would be fruitless. In our state there is no recourse for victims of FDA-approved drugs like Vioxx.

800 AnonymousPre-emption would protect companies who fail to revise their warning labels about deleterious new findings about their product if they know that these new findings are not known by the FDA.
