Stop the government from reducing rape sentences by half
The government is proposing to reduce rape sentences by a half in return for a guilty plea in England and Wales. Presently it is cut by a third. This could potentially mean that some convicted rapists only spend 15 months in jail. This is a disgrace when they have probably ruined someones life.
I am unable to obtain information regarding rape convictions/guilty pleas in Scotland. I'm investigating this and will have a seperate petition for this.
Rape is rape and everyones experience is unique and painful to them.

So the Government wanna give a one way commision to men?
Men still have no right to commit such a crime!!
Government wanna reduce crime they say?
People will start to take the law into their own hands...
Government need to help the country be safe not wind everybody up!!
Imagine If your own daughter had been raped & left her emotionally scared for the rest of her life...how would you really feel inside!!
I feel, along with everybody else disgusted that Governments should make such plans!!
Bring Back Hanging If prisions are overcrowded!!

It's terrible to put someone through such an ordeal,how can people like that be released back into society knowing they will reoffend.It's the people who are the victims of rape that should be consider not the people u have comitted the crime,they can get on with their lives but the victims have got to live with it for the rest of their lives it's a total disgrace!
