We believe that the best solution for Fayetteville High School is to build a new, state-of-the-art high school in a new location rather than attempt to salvage the old, outdated Stone Street location with new construction. The city and students of Fayetteville deserve the very best high school we can build, and the best way to achieve this is to build on a fresh site. Building on a new site is also a less expensive option for the city and taxpayers.

Fayetteville Master Street Plan
When considering the future of Fayetteville High School, the needs of our students must come first. The best option for our students, faculty, community and taxpayers is to build a new high school in a new location and sell the old location to the University of Arkansas.
We believe a new location will improve student safety, save taxpayers money, equip Fayetteville High School with a world-class facility that will serve the community's needs well into the future, and most importantly, provide our students with the modern, spacious facility they deserve.
Conversely, renovating and expanding the old high school would compromise the educational experiences of at least eight classes of students and require double the millage increase of building on a new site.
We urge the Fayetteville School Board to build a new, world-class high school at a new location and sell the current location to the University to offset construction costs.
