As FAU students and employees, we wish to express our opposition to the $6 million stadium-naming deal with known human rights violator and anti-immigrant lobbyist, the GEO Group. This deal has been made in our name, but we cannot support it in good conscience. We are not willing to be associated with a company known for human rights violations and political lobbying for high levels of incarceration and anti-immigrant legislation. We believe in the values of democracy and human rights this university stands for, and we urge you to respect them and rescind the deal.
