Fathers Rights On Child Support Obligation
State Of California, has come out with a unique and clever way of consolidating multiple cases of child support and or to collect child support through the use of a department called The State Disbursement. The State Disbursement rules and regulates on how the local counties will collect, allocate and distribute monies that are payed, recovered, or seized. The department was said to help get back support collected and paid to children and their parents who had not seen a dime or not getting the full support obligated by the father. As time has gone by and the impacts of this State Department are now visible, it shows that this is not, nor will it ever be the case with a State Department involved in collecting monies. Not only do they collect money, they allocate and play "monopoly" with it charging a 10% interest a month on your payment and an annual 10% to the said principle thats unpaid ( Back Child Support ) not to mention the monies only being applied when " They " receive the money. Mothers, this means that if you are owed support and you have gone to court and have a set amount for support and back pay, you will not get that amount if the father has multiple child support cases and obligations. Lets say that a father owes on three cases; $30,000, $4000, and $6000 a total of $40,000 dollars and he has a payment for the first one of $411.00 ( $355 in support and $145 to back pay), a payment for the second one of $191 ($140 in support and $51 in back pay) a payment for the third one of $217 ($125 in Support and $87 in back pay ) a total payment of $819. You pay $1000.00 a month just to be on the safe side and you go on with your life paying that obligation with the intent that all the children are receiving each and everyone of their payments, right? You think life is good, you're taking care of children and visiting, trying to mend things and have a relationship with them but the mother of two of the children are calling you a "Dead Beat" for not paying your support and you say " I am paying my support and some! You start to wonder "when will you pay off this Support?" and "is the principal going down?"
