NOTE: This petition is largely abandoned, because the Silver Stampeder has decided to focus more on having fun at football games, rather than petty feuds with Fred Fateri. Sign if you like, but really, it just encourages him...
We the undersigned feel that the Calgary Stampeders football club has been in an awful state since the hiring of COO Fred Fateri. He has no previous CFL experience, and we feel that he has no ability to handle media scrutiny. It's been reported that he hangs up on reporters, and he presumes that all Calgary fans care about is a winning season. Sure, we'd like to see the Stamps win, but there's something that we, the undersigned, want even more. We want owner Michael Feterik to admit he made a mistake, fire Fred Fateri, and issue a formal apology to the fans of Calgary. |

This petition WAS sponsored by The Silver Stampeder (http://www.silverstampeder.com), a true fan of the CFL and the Calgary Stampeders. However, this undertaking had since been abandoned - I couldn't deal with Fred Fateri constantly crashing our tailgate parties, and frankly, his disparaging comments about my fiancee ought to earn him a kick in the butt, had I not been the instigator. And, he's gone now, so this is only here for nostalgia's sake. So, I'll let this petition stay up, in case anyone wants to sign it for kicks, but really, what's the point? All it does is encourage him! :) Go Stamps Go! |
