Name: Claudine Lyman on Mar 30, 2007Comments: I feel like a fasTracks station would be better suited for Hwy 7 to handle all the traffic from interstate 25, Brighton, and the mall. I do not want all the traffic coming through our residential neighborhood. This area is residential and I would like to keep it that way.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 30, 2007Comments: Why in the world would you ever put a train stop beside a middle school! Do you want our children to be abducted! Stops should be located next to areas of commerce not in the middle of a residential neighborhood. This is the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard in my entrie life.Flag

Name: Jeff Jones on Mar 30, 2007Comments: It is absolutely absurd in viewing or to even approve of this particular northern segment of FasTracks, as well as a proposed 144th & York transit stop and parking lot so close to a middle school, existing neighborhoods and new home developments. In addition, with this FasTracks line running in general next to another existing middle school and other nearby communities to the south between 128th & 136th. The entire FasTracks project planning proposal starting at 128th ave and all the way beyond to the north is ridiculous, very inefficient, poorly planned, will have very low ridership levels, potentially steep fare fees, cuts off potential riders west of I-25 and will not cater whatsoever to current and future businesses and office buildings along I-25 in this particular area. Keep these transit stops and giant parking lots/garages away from our residential areas and schools!Flag

Name: Eric Tade on Mar 30, 2007Comments: I feel having a commuter station next to a school is an open invitation to predators and makes the job of keeping an eye out for suspicious people near the school a near impossible task. The RTD board and Thornton city council are responsible for ensuring safety for our children and would be negligent in that responsibility if they were to put a station with parking next to the school. Also is the great temptation students will have to board the light rail with such easy access.Flag

Name: Laura Valentine on Mar 31, 2007Comments: I oppose RTD/Fas Tracks proposed location for a commuter train at 144th Ave in Thornton, Colorado. I am concerned about the safety of the children, the noise, more traffic commuters in the neighborhood, increase of crime and frankly the problems of having a public transport in a residential area. I think it's a more logical place to align it with I-25 like South Denver has it. This would give it a more public view and access and keep business in business areas and not into a residental area and school area. I would be more happy to drive down to I-25 and 144th and park my car at a station there if I were to use the Fas/tracks. It seems like a more logical place to locate a station.Flag
