Name: Anonymous on Jul 27, 2009Comments: And what about the parking in Beverly Where would everyone park if they had to drive into Beverly There is already a shortage of parking at every station along the Rockport line. Closing Beverly Farms and Prides Crossing would be short sighted and ill-conceived. The MBTA should make it easier to take public transportation, not more difficult !Flag

Name: Kristen Crowley on Aug 6, 2009Comments: Further, if Beverly Farms were to be shut down the commuters (mostly people heading into Boston for work) would be forced to compete for limited parking spaces at Montserat, North Beverly or Salem. Beverly Depot does not currently have any available parking spaces. This will cause considerable inconvience to all commuters. In addition, time and money will not be saved because it will take longer to board the train at Montserat or other train stops due to an increase in passengers AND the commuter rail will lose Zone 5 fares. Monserat is Zone 4 and Beverly is Zone 3.Flag

Name: Chris Cabot on Aug 14, 2009Comments: I have been riding the train as a commuter from Bev Farms for 25 years. If I had to drive to another stop, there is no parking - not Manchester, Monserrat, Beverly or Salem. So shut down Bev Farms and Prides and the MBTA looses another rider. And there are a lot like me. Bad idea.Flag
