Dear Lake Forest City Council Members: Orange County’s heritage is agrarian, and almost every city in the county still has some connection to this past with active plots of land used for farming or raising livestock. Yet with the boon in urbanization in the last 15 years, we seem to have lost sight of what makes this county unique and the City of Lake Forest is no different in this lack of focus. To revitalize the city from its antiquated doldrums, and attract a demographic that will continue to rejuvenate and update its neighborhoods and businesses, we, the residents of Lake Forest, would like a Farmers Market brought to the city. It would be a wonderful opportunity for local growers and businesses and create a greater sense of community for the residents that is both progressive and beneficial.
