The city finally gave us the green light for the market in the park. It has been a long and draining road to get here but I am relieved we can move forward. Keep an eye out for the first vendor list coming soon.

Dignowity Hill residents are proposing to have a Farmer's Market located in Dignowity Hill Park! The market will have local vendors with fresh produce and goods. This will offer healthy and fresh food to the community at an affordable price and support local businesses at the same time. This Market would be community driven and your support is necessary to make it happen. Details are still in the works, but first we need to show we have community support to get started. If you would like to see this grassroots effort come to Historic Dignowity Hill sign this petition! Please share it with residents in Dignowity Hill and surrounding communities. Nice to see a market that is for the(ALL) people of SA. Equal access to fair, affordable, healthy, and sustainably grown/raised foods. The city's two premiere boutique markets; while great markets in regard to vendors, does not meet the need of all San Antonians, especially those who NEED access to fresh food the most. SFC is doing great work in Austin.
This is a wonderful idea and would truly benefit all of the residents, young and old. Children will learn a great lesson in healthy eating that they can continue as they grow up and make food decisions of their own. I hope everything works out and it's successful!
I live on Iowa and cactus and am disappointed by the lack of fresh and hard to find foods provided at the small heb on Houston and new braunfels. I generally have to leave the east side to find food that I like and think this would be an excellent option to have for the families on the east side.
Lets bring fresh food to the East Side! a great opportunity for business development, while making a positive impact on health of residents. Would be great if vendors accepted WIC and SNAP.
We are a newly established business in the Dignowity Hill community and we would benefit from a local farmers market. We support this effort 100%.
Everyone deserves to have fresh and healthy food available to them. Local foods are the best!

This farmer's market is an amazing addition to this neighborhood. Not only does it provide healthy choices to families and individuals, but it aids in bringing the community together. This farmer's market was one of the many reason my husband and I chose to buy a house in Dignowity Hill.
