Football is a sport of inspiration and determination. Players come from all walks of life and are determined to make a difference on the field. So are Panther Fans!
We, the undersigned, are a group of dedicated and passionate Panther fans. Football is a game of strategy and tremendous skill. However the outcomes of games is also greatly influenced by inspiration and determination. As fans, we are proud to have the Panthers in the Carolinas, as we know you are. We also understand and respect the reasons that you initially decided to put the NFL logo on the field, as a way of expressing your gratitude to the NFL for granting the Carolina’ franchise. Now though, we believe it is time for a change. We would like to put a statement on the field that this ground belongs to the Panthers. We want it to help create the attitude for our team to take back home field advantage.
It was the support of the fans, through the purchasing of PSL’s that gave the confidence to the NFL to put the Panthers here. You have in a very generous manner, shown your respect and appreciation to the NFL. As fans, we believe it should be our turn now. We want to have and be able to show the same pride for a Panther logo on the field that Dallas has for the star. We want everyone, including the visiting team, to know they are on OUR field and OUR team will defend it. It is not just paint. It means something. It means a lot to us.
We respectfully request that you put the Panther logo on the 50-yard line. Unveiling it at the first home game would send an important message to the team, fans, and opponents. The response would be incredible.
