Name: Richard Brackett on Oct 15, 2003State: NYComments: If same-sex marriage was acceptable to God, it would have been represented in the Bible. Instead, what IS there are several sections condemning same-sex sexual behavior. While I don't think we should legislate morality (or judge individuals' sinful behavior), I also don't think we should legislate (legitimize) immoral behavior. It would be an affront to God Himself.Flag

Name: Dr. Raymond McArthur on Oct 15, 2003State: NYComments: I urge you to support the 'Federal Marriage Amendment' as defined ONLY by one man and one woman making a lifetime commitment. No twisted logic can undo the historical and 'natural' fact that children raised in a household by both a male father and a female mother have the best chance to be successful and productive adults. The U.S. rose to be the greatest society by embracing these basic understandings and these must be preserved for the general good. Thank you, Dr. Raymond McArthurFlag

Name: Roxanne Rodriguez on Oct 17, 2003State: NYComments: I agree that marriage is only allowed to a man and a woman because to have a family it requires a mother and a father to raise children, No woman can replace a fatherly love nor a man a motherly love. Besides it is unfounded by biblical laws and principles. It's a sin to do so and this world will come to an end if we encourage, support, and allow this sinful act to continue. We will end up like Sodom and Gomorrah.Flag

Name: Molly Hastings on Oct 20, 2003State: NYComments: To my goverment representative and leaders, Please listen to the many people who want to maintain the traditional view of marriage. Many of us hold traditional moral values based on the Judeo-Christian ethics which are rooted in the bible. To not support this amendment is turning a deaf ear to the majority of Americans. To change our laws to include other types of marrige arrangements other than that between a man and a women is tampering with the foundations of morals that our country was built on. Please listen to our voices. We matter too!Flag
