There is an immediate need for a stop light, speed bumps, or rumble strips to be placed along Fairview Street. The intersection of Fairview and Textile has frequent serious accidents resulting in serious propery damage, bodily injury, and death. As a community we have all witnessed an accident or been in a near accident at this intersection.

Fairview Street has also become an alternate route for commuters attempting to avoid Summit Avenue or seeking a short cut to Wendover Ave. This traffic does not obey the posted speed limits or noise ordineces for residential neighborhoods in Greensboro. Vehicles can frequently be seen at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour. As residents of this area we are all concerned for the safety of our property, children, and pets. We demand that some action be taken to ensure our safety!
