Comments: I pay taxes based on the full value of my property, why shouldn't everyone else? We can make all the claims that these tax breaks create jobs, but they really don't. You're giving tax breaks to landlords who rent the properties out to others who could create more jobs...if the savings the landlords reap were passed on.

Comments: There's got to be a better to balance the budget than cutting services to city residents while still providing tax cuts to those considered "too big to fail."

Comments: I believe that the large properties that are being given a break is hurting, not helping our economy by removing money from Rochester. Please correct this issue to be fair across the board and keep revenue in our city.

Comments: As a lifelong resident of Monroe County who also lived in the city itself for more than a dozen years, I fully support this petition. While I currently reside outside the city limits, Rochester's corporate welfare in reduced tax rates affects my home value, community and well-being through the reduction in services my neighbors experience as well as the reduced standing of the community at large as it's core slowly decays.

Comments: As a transplant to the city, I overpaid for my home. The city assessed my house at the sale price, even though my neighbors, with identical homes, pay far less. After two years here, you're driving me out. My taxes more than doubled this year. Who can afford that?
