Name: Denise Allen on Jan 29, 2013Comments: Why should the Nurses in ACC have to wear all white? It's not fair that we don't have a voice in decision making at this institution. However, this institution want's Magnet Status, I don't think so.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 31, 2013Comments: The RNs and LPNs should have completely separate uniforms, as the ARNPs do. That would be fair and equitable for the Professional vs Practical Nurses. Perhaps a light gray or pale yellow for LPN?Flag

Name: Margaret Vassel-Curah on Feb 2, 2013Comments: If Jackson North is a part of the Public Health Trust then it stands to reason that all campuses must be treated the same. If there is a valid reason for Ms Battle to chose white for her staff then that needs to be disclosed. However, there should have been purposely conversation/discussion on the intended change. Please understand that the nurses are not objecting to the idea and purpose of being uniform evidence-based literature has shown that it does promote confidence in all professional teams among the patient population. The disregard of nurses being involved in the decision-making process has undermined the role of nurses being leaders and taking that position in the profession. Thanks Margaret Vassel-Curah RN.Flag
