Name: Dipak Raghvani on May 11, 2007Comments: This is insane. Reason why i don't look for jobs close to the city, around city or the other side of the city is because the Toll is too high and travelling time of 90 minutes to get anywhere close to the city. They need to make tolls tax deductible, allow discounts for residents of the hill. Indeed its a punishment.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 11, 2007Comments: The state government will never do anything about this. Labour know that they'll never get in so why would they bother trying to do anything for us, and the Liberals take us for granted because its so safe for them. They'd rather spend their money in more marginal areas. Its the same logic when it comes to trains. I wish we had a strong independent who gave a damn that we could all vote for.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 11, 2007Comments: I travel everyday into the city and the M2 is a joke. Not only is the toll excessive (combined now with the lane cove tunnel toll) but the flow of traffic has not improved. The road needs to be widened and the toll should be reduced (or at least deductible or part of the toll cash back scheme like the M4).Flag

Name: Margaret Simpson on May 13, 2007Comments: This seems fair except that those on social security do not pay tax and therefore would be paying the full amount. i.e. Old Aged Pensioners would still pay the full amount whilst those who worked, even if they earned hundreds of thousands of dollars a year would have a discount.Flag

Name: Barbara on May 13, 2007Comments: Unfortunately, the people who live in the Hills District, including myself, have no proper alternative for travel. Our roads are insufficient to deal with the traffic and public transport is close to non-existent. The Government fails to recognise our area is growing at an extremely rapid rate. We need some relief.Flag
