Full reinstatement of Nicholas Massey into the 8th grade graduating class of 2008
Board of Directors and Principal has restricted Nicholas Massey from attending classes at CHS.
On Thursday, April 17, 2008, Nicholas Massey was involved in an altercation with a female eight grade student, in class which was in progress, over someone else’s highlighter. The female 8th grade student approached Nicholas and started yelling at him and hitting him. This was witnessed by the entire eight grade class and including Teacher A (not the eight grade teacher).
Teacher B ran into Teacher A's class, and yelled at him to get out of the eight grade female student's face. Then Teacher B took Nicholas into the hall and verbally abused him. Nicholas was escorted to the principal office and dismissed, seven weeks before graduation.
According to the school handbook a student is subject to detention or possible suspension if the following incidents occur: Severe disruption or physical violence.
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrew: 12:11) No disciplinary action has been given to the female eight grade student. All children should be permitted to learn in a school environment free from verbal abuse from a teacher, and where school rules apply to all children.
Let us help Nicholas Massey treasure his memories (learning, support staff, teachers, classmates, 8th grade trip, 8th grade banquet, and 8th graduation) as an 8th grade student at CHS. Please sign your name below to encourage more people to endorse full reinstatement of Nicholas Massey into the 8th grade graduating class of 2008
