We as tax payers are taken advantage of a lot! Why is it that the average Illinois state trooper makes up to $75,723 year (that's $36.41 per hour) and ISP employees $81,346 a year? Not including the "higher ranks" that average over $100,000 a year.(source :www.ilreference.com) Paid for by the tax payer, just for them to turn around and ticket those same tax payers? While being awarded bonuses for reaching a "quota", tickets/more arrests. I'm not against ISP and their services, but I do disagree with their salaries. I feel we all have had to make drastic cuts in these hard times and so should our government. ISP salaries would be a good start! Do we not have local law enforcement for a reason? I'm not arguing to get rid of state troopers as a whole. I just think we do not need to be spending our tax paying dollars for the average ISP to make a cushioning 81 thousand a year, while we are paying our county sheriffs/law enforcement do the same thing. Please stand with me and let our voices be heard! I ask you to join me and sign this petition
