I support Fair Fares because: I travel to the university daily by train. It is unfair to expect postgraduate and international to pay exorbitant rates only in Victoria while concession is granted to students in other states. Fare rates should be consistent for student throughout Australia what ever be their age. By definition a student is a person currently in pursuit of knowledge. Only some students have a job. This makes it unfair for the rest of the majority students.

I support Fair Fares because: It is ridiculous that only Victoria does not allow concession rates for postgraduate students, especially the international students. We are still students, and in our home countries (at least my home state of California) do not discriminate against international students in such an institutional manner.

I support Fair Fares because: Students are students regardless of their educational status (international/local/postgrad). Any of us could definitely use the extra money to still stimulate the state if we could save if given concession rates for transport.

I support Fair Fares because: forcing students to pay more for a ticket, or to run the risk of being caught with a concession ticket without the required authorisation, is another way in which people attempting to further their education are being marginalised by the government and by the broader public. Higher education seems to have very little value in the scheme of things - its seen as a track to higher income, and little else.

I support Fair Fares because: It is totally rubbish to expect full fee paying students like us to pay for transport! Even other interstate like Sydney have concession fare for student. Shame on you Melbourne Transport Department!! With the fluke MyKi, things going to get worse, let's boycott the public transport!
