We, the undersigned staff of Lloyds Banking Group in Brighton and Hove believe staff at Sussex House and QRQ deserve a fair deal. Having to find a new job can be a daunting task at the best of times but when hundreds of your colleagues are looking for work too, it is even harder. Unite think that Lloyds have to take this into account and make the following help available: � Increase the redundancy package � Ensure that staff have time off for job hunting � Make training available for staff in job skills such as CV-writing and interview skills. � Announce full plans for Retail Division for 2010 to colleagues and to give clarity - colleagues are still looking over the shoulder as to who is next � Open the relocation package to all impacted colleagues who would be willing to retain a role in LBG. � Open a voluntary register in the impacted areas and to use bumping as creatively as possible � Engage with the local development agency and Job Centres Plus to explore other possible employment opportunities � Arrange roadshows from external companies who may be recruiting in the area � Allow staff to leave early with full redundancy rights � Protect staff arrangements such as mortgages provided by the Bank
