We, the students of Golda Och, feel outraged and disrespected at the new decision to lock all the extra lockers and new policy stating that all items left in the hallway will be taken to the lost and found. As students of Golda, we have a crazy amount of school supplies in our lockers: Textbooks (at least 4), Binders, Folders, Lunches, Backpacks, Books, Scripts, Computers, Pencil cases, Coats, Sweaters, Tennis Rackets, etc. In order to not continually have the contents of our lockers spill out or be able to easily take things and put them back in the lockers, we use more than one. It is impossible to fit everything mentioned above (which we all have considering most of them are school necessary items) into one. We've tried. We failed. We feel disrespected because we need our extra lockers to house or SCHOOL SUPPLIES, Not our tvs, not our prom dresses, not our boom boxes. Is the school administration really asking us to not use an extra locker to house our SCHOOL SUPPLIES, issued from the school itself?! Not to house our coats, our bags, our lunches? Because together, these things do not fit. We don't mind leaving our bags in the hallway, but that's another petition, isn't it? We will NOT PAY for an extra locker. Do we not pay $25,000 a year to attend this school? Does that not warrant our having an extra LOCKER, for our SCHOOL SUPPLIES?! Instead of our seconds lockers, would you like us to put our bags in your office, Mr.Shapiro? My 4 AP Spanish textbooks heard it's nice down there...
